The Cactus Cocktail Bar

As a veggie living near Scarborough, this place is perfect! Proper dirty burgers and the veggie hot dog looked insane. The girl who was front of house was engaging and clearly passionate about the business. Will deffo come back! Also the interior design was lovely which made is a comfortable environment.

Brilliant atmosphere, super friendly but not over the top staff. Delicious food, we’ve ordered the lamb tzatziki burger and a double stack burger (chicken&beef with mac sauce, can’t remember the name) with chips and two soft drinks. Complimentary water and flavoured nuts to snack on before the meals arrived. The atmosphere was great with good music on, and lots of little attentions to detail like cactus shaped salt and pepper shakers (cute!). An amazing value for money, the food was of excellent quality, only came to around 35 and we were both stuffed. Loved that the drinks in cans arrivals with a glass with ice and a metal straw! One little thing is the food was served on chopping boards - I get it’s a trend (is it still?) but it was a tiny minus point for hygienic reasons, but not bad enough to take a star off. I rarely leave reviews but feel this place deserves to be packed every day!

Found this place searching online for good burger places and checked in advance on messenger that our dog would be welcome. It’s quite small but intimate and nicely lit. The staff were great, helpful and friendly and waiting a little while shows they are cooking to order. The burger and fries I had was excellent. Piping hot and beautifully cooked. We shared a filled garlic bread with cheese for starters. My partner had the vegan mushroom pizza which was nice but we were starting to get stuffed. The shake he had was very nice and he ordered another. We were only visiting but highly recommend this place and will be back next time we are in Scarborough.

Well what can I say.. originally a takeaway that is offering the 'dine in' experience, and what an experience. It is small with just a few tables but so worth the effort. Very friendly and accommodating, they could not do enough for us and with a smile. Now on to the food... a takeaway this is not, the food is worthy of awards. I have eaten in alot of different places and The Cactus Diner is at the top with the best of them. They can make a simple corn on the cob be the best I have eaten. Lamb very tender and garlic mushrooms in a creamy sauce served with a toasted bread, we also had the classic dog served with fried onions and tomato sauce.If you are a resident or just visiting this place is highly recommended

We have nothing but good things to say about our food tonight, service was amazing, food was delicious and people were so friendly..If it wasn’t for Matty (delivery driver) putting videos and picture on we wouldn’t have tried but definitely will be coming back and telling others about it. My husband and I got takeout. I opted for a chilli hot dog and my husband the spicy pizza. Portions sizes were generous, the food was well seasoned and not greasy at all. Lush food!

Food was well prepared, tasted great. I would highly recommend eating here. All food reasonably priced, mixed kebab was great, very tasty with a decent portion of both the chicken and lamb.Also a good point, dog friendly place.No photos, smelled too damn good and I got stuck in haha
